Hazardous Waste Management

Authorised manager nº 469/97 MU (G/RTP). List of admitted waste:

• Transformers and condensers containing PCB.
• Hydraulics oils containing PCB.
• Heat isolating oils containing PCB.
• Absorbent substances, filtration material, cloths and protection clothes contaminated with hazardous substances.
• Discarded equipment containing PCB or contaminated with PCB, other than those specified under the code 16.02.09.
• Construction and demolition waste containing PCB.
• Mineral oil transformers and condensers.

Transport Agent for Hazardous Waste

Authorisation corresponding to file 350/03:

• Authorised in all autonomic regions.
• Befesa PCB is responsible for the waste during transportation, as opposed to other managers who assume responsibility upon arrival at the plants.
• We do not depend on other transport companies.
• Collection is done by specialised staff with over 5 year’s collection experience.
• Our trucks are authorised to transports class 9/11 hazardous material.

Documentation Processing associated with Hazardous Waste Management

• Receipt of the waste admission request.
• Delivery of waste acceptance documentation.
• Waste transportation notification to the competent authorities.
• Preparation of the control and tracking documents.
• Issuance of waste destruction and elimination certificates to client and corresponding competent organisation.
